The Great Court
The Great Court
To say London in the Spring has unpredictable weather, would be an understatement. As the flat grey sky, opened and a misty rain settled on the city, it was time to take exploration indoors, and I can think of no better place than the British Museum.
The Greek Revival exterior hides what awaits visitors in The Great Court within. After passing through the doors and entryway, visitors are bathed in light as the glass ceiling, and white marble interacts to create a surreal effect.
Upon entering the museum, I climbed to the second story to an opening overlooking The Great Court. Tripods are not allowed, but I wanted to show movement in the image so I used the railing to steady the camera and got this image. I hope you like it.
